CLAUDIA'S FASHION INSIGHTS
Connections between people are one of the most powerful tools in human history. Sometimes we question the way we interact with others, and how others perceive us.
Everyone experiences being surrounded by new personalities differently. For me, it’s often complicated — I’m not the biggest talker in the room, and I tend to protect myself by not opening up all the time. That’s why I feel extremely comfortable when I come across someone who makes me lower my guard and allows me to express myself just as I am.
Even though Claudia and I haven’t spent that much time together — our relationship started as a seller and a customer, seeing each other just every couple of months — it was always easy to get along and talk to her. I was the seller, and she was the customer.
When I interact with people in that context, it’s usually close, but not intrusive. Claudia was always really thoughtful about her shopping and clear about what she liked. She’d often ask for my opinion, and I’d be honest with her. Through those small exchanges, I always had the sense that she was someone creative, working in fashion, with great taste and very clear ideas.
Later on, we followed each other on Instagram and went on with our lives. I left Gabriel for Sach, and we stopped seeing each other — until recently, when we started talking again about the idea of collaborating.
Street Inspiration.
Claudia is a freelance creative within the fashion industry, with a broad range of skills and interests — like many of us.
She’s originally from Logroño, a small town in the north of Spain, and has lived between Madrid, Paris, and Barcelona. She has always worked in fashion-related fields, but what she enjoys the most is telling stories through creativity. She gives special attention to the little things, and she truly believes in giving importance to detail.
In one conversation, she told me how much she enjoys the intimate side of fashion — the things no one really sees: undergarments, the inside of your bag… To her, those are the things that show who you really are.
On–Set Work.
On top of her creative work, Claudia has a deep love for literature and reading. She once said something I loved: that as a freelancer, every workday feels like the first day. Of course, not everything is perfect — there are uncertain moments when you question whether you’re on the right path. But lately, she’s been guided more by intuition. And when you do things with real intention, things start to align.
That’s how Notes on Books was born. She believes we tend to return to the things that made us happy as kids — and for her, that has always been reading. The project started from a really genuine and natural place, and she’s enjoying it so much.
Notes on Books is a community-driven project that brings readers together to share stories, ideas, and a passion for literature.
Through their digital platform; curated newsletters, engaging events, and secondhand book exchanges, she promotes a sustainable reading culture that sparks meaningful conversations and deepens the love for books.
Books Gallery.
She dreams in the next few years to keep working as a consultant for brands she believes in, and to turn Notes on Books into a strong platform for literary recommendations and gatherings.
Claudia's Books Recommendations:
• Normal People by Sally Rooney (which she recently reread)
• Material de construcción by Eider Rodríguez
• A Girl’s Story by Annie Ernaux
When it comes to her style, she says she doesn’t usually take big risks — she wears what she knows she likes, what feels right on her body, and what she connects with.
If she were a brand, she’d be The Row. If she were someone’s wardrobe, she’d be Leandra Medine’s.
But that’s her opinion. For me, her style is effortless but consistent. Curated and studied. She knows what doses suit her, and that’s why the following gallery picture is so pleasant.
